Fleet Service Technician
The Peyton School District is seeking applicants for a Fleet Service Technician position. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Transportation and be responsible for ensuring each student’s safe and efficient transportation by keeping the district’s vehicles/equipment in operation so that they do not present problems or interruptions to the educational or activity programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum two years of hands-on experience in repairing light, medium, and/or heavy-duty
vehicles/equipment.
* Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Class B-PS Commercial Driver’s License.
* Adapts to changes in responsibilities and work schedule with a positive attitude.
* Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Department of Education Annual Inspector
Qualification Certificate.
* Ability to perform repairs on school buses and related district vehicles.
* Provides own hand tools needed for repairing and servicing district vehicles/equipment.
* Ability to meet all the qualifications for a school bus driver.
SALARY / BENEFITS: Fair and competitive starting wages, with experience considered, and a 4-day work week. Benefits include paid vacation, sick days, holidays, and Health & and Dental insurance.
ASE certification incentive—Each Peyton School District Fleet Service Technician who successfully obtains and maintains two ASE School Bus certifications will be entitled to a stipend of $750.00 per year. Peyton School District will only give this incentive up to a maximum of six ASE School Bus certifications. Peyton School District will reimburse the employee for the test and registration fees after the employee has successfully passed the test.
WORK YEAR: 208 days, 10 hours per day, 4 days per week.

Job Title: Peyton Jr.-Sr. High School Food Service Director
FLSA Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY: The Food Service Director oversees kitchen operations to ensure that students are served nutritious meals in a clean and caring atmosphere. Responsible for knowing and enforcing all food safety and sanitation practices and program regulations. Responsible for developing kitchen staff and promoting good community relations among various community and school clientele as directed by the superintendent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the position's fundamental operations and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Job Task Description-
Completes all duties and responsibilities of the kitchen manager while participating in preparation, serving, cashiering, and sanitation tasks.
Supervise and train 1- to 2 employees.
Oversee delegation of assignments and follow up to ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner to meet the budget.
Understands and follows all department revenue handling procedures.
Correctly and timely submits all food and non-food orders, payroll, attendance, production sheets, inventory, maintenance, and equipment requests to the central office.
Works with supervisor and staff to meet all health department sanitation standards.
Participates in all required meetings, training, and development. Stays current with all district and department communication, including voicemail and email. Attends manager meetings as directed. Communicate all information with kitchen staff in a timely manner.
Carries out all tasks and directives given by the supervisor or leadership team members. Notify the supervisor of any personal issues and keep these issues confidential.
Understands and ensures safety policies are followed, and worker's compensation procedures are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

The successful candidate will report to the Transportation Director and be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation so that students may take full advantage of the district’s curriculum and extracurricular programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Complete training program for bus drivers.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The Transportation Director establishes a workday based on needs. After training, the rate is $20.33 per hour.

Substitute Teaching Thank you for your interest in substitute teaching in Peyton School District. We need half-day (7:15-11:30 or 11:30-4:00) and full-day subs (7:15-4:00). Once you have received your CDE substitute teacher license, download and fill out our Substitute Teacher Application and drop it off to the district administration staff in the Career Technical Education Facility (18320 Main Street, Peyton, CO 80831). Once all of your credentials have been cleared, the district administration staff will notify the school secretaries, and you will be added to the substitute teacher list to be called upon in times of need.
