Music

The focus of Music Education at Peyton Elementary School is to develop and foster a student’s love for music. Music students will learn everything from the basics of singing, to performing an improvised instrumental solo. Strong emphasis is put on the theory of music and developing reading and writing ability. Students will also learn about some of the contemporary music they are familiar with, and learn a little more about the history that ties all music together. The goal in the music classroom is to give students the ability to do something they can enjoy for their entire life.

Hello, Panthers! My name is Chloe Jeon. I am from Colorado Springs and have taught second grade for a couple years before becoming a music teacher in Peyton. I love music and have been playing the piano since I was two years old! I had the opportunity to debut as a singer in South Korea in 2013 but decided to give that up for my dream of becoming a teacher. I love working with children and am currently a Sunday School director at a local church in the Springs. I am so grateful to be part of the Peyton community!
