Although I was raised in northern Minnesota, I’ve lived in Colorado for about 25 years now. I love many things about these plains of Colorado, including the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the cool nights, and the spectacular mountain views! Some of my hobbies are sewing, crafting, jewelry-making, baking, and spending time with family. My husband and I have four grown children. We also have two grandchildren who have stolen our hearts. I have been teaching in Peyton since 2015 and I am looking forward to working with the students in the upper grades in math and science this year.

I grew up in Oklahoma, graduating from Oklahoma State University and then went on to get my Master’s in education at Southern Nazarene University. I’ve been teaching at Peyton since 2017 and have taught everything from kindergarten to 6th grade. My husband and I moved to Monument in the summer of 2016. It was the best decision we ever made.  In my spare time, I love to go hiking as much as possible. We always include our two dogs, Gus and Gracie. I also enjoy skiing, cooking, reading, horseback riding, and I’m a big fan of college football.
