Although I was raised in northern Minnesota, I’ve lived in Colorado for about 25 years now. I love many things about these plains of Colorado, including the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the cool nights, and the spectacular mountain views! Some of my hobbies are sewing, crafting, jewelry-making, baking, and spending time with family. I have been married to my husband since 19?? and we have four grown children. We also have two grandchildren who have stolen our hearts. I have been teaching since 20?? and I am looking forward to working with the students in the upper grades in math and science this year.

I love to teach and truly enjoy building relationships with the students. I’ve taught everything from kindergarten to 6th grade. I grew up in Oklahoma, graduating from Oklahoma State University and then went on to get my Master’s in education at Southern Nazarene University. I taught eight years in Oklahoma and then moved to Texas where I taught another 10 years. I taught 6th grade in Palmer Lake last year. My husband and I moved to Monument in the summer of 2016. It was the best decision we ever made.  In my spare time, I love to go hiking as much as possible. We always include our two dogs, Gus and Gracie. I also enjoy skiing, cooking, reading, horseback riding, and I’m a big fan of college football.
